Fuel Expert Engineer

Location: Germany

To support our client we are looking for the following Engineer :
Fuel Engineer based in Berlin.

Definition, Modelling and Validation of a system/subsystem:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Analysis of customer requirements and translation of those requirements into validated functional requirements for the system/subsystem

  • Development of a system/subsystem, together with external suppliers, in order to meet the functional requirements and to establish the boundaries of the design

  • Analysis of the system/subsystem with regards to its functionality, this includes modelling and simulation if required, in order to prove that the design meets the
    functional requirements (this includes as well environmental qualification)

  • Coordination and working together with other disciplines to define the systemspecifications

  • Compilation of technical reports to support the standardisation of the system/subsystem

    With regards to aero engine (compressors turbines)design and development related to systems/subsystem consists of:
    • Fuel metering units

    • Fuel pump units

    • Variable stator vane actuators

    • Buffer air valves

    • Starter air valves

    • Compressor bleed valves

    • Heat management systems

    • Air to air cooler

    • Air to liquid cooler
    Required is:
    • Candidates should have at least Bachelor Degree, preferred is a master in an engineering discipline (i.e. mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent)

    • Experience in managing interfaces (i.e. external suppliers and/or functional groups)

    • Experience in pneumatics and/or fuel system is preferred

    • At least 3 years experience within the aerospace engineering

    • Knowledge in RTCA/DO-160, RTCA/DO-254 (for complex systems), DOORs,MATLAB

    • Fluent in English - written and spoken
    Must have approval to work in the EU.
