Performance Engineers - Gas Turbines

ekes is a Tier 1 Approved Supplier to Rolls-Royce for Engineering Services, and has for a number of years undertaken a broad range of engineering services to them in the UK & Germany.

To continue this growth we require a number of experienced Performance Engineers of all levels of experience to join our team of talented engineers in our East Kilbride offices.
We have both permanent staff and long term contract positions available.

Principle Tasks:

• To predict and analyse the steady state and transient whole engine performance and operational behavior


• To support and extend the Engine Simulation Model and to support the Customer within the development and certification process


• To define, support and analyse engine tests for validation of the engine performance to show compliance against requirements and guarantees, including instrumentation specification (engine and testbed


• To support internal and external customers within the certification process with regards to engine performance

Qualifications / Experience:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Technology or equivalent education


• Experience in and knowledge of Thermodynamics, steady state and transient engine operation, experience in measurement and analysis techniques as well as planning/performing and analysing engine tests


• Basic experience in thermodynamical simulation and analysis methods and tools used in performance


• Good communication and teambuilding skills
