Stress Engineer

Location: Dunfermline

EKES is a rapidly expanding Engineering Consultancy providing advanced Engineering Solutions and Recruitment Services to clients in the Power Generation, Aerospace, Defence, Oil, & Gas, Marine and Renewable Energy Industry sectors. To support our clients' requirements we are currently seeking a Stress Engineer.

Main Accountabilities:

• Performance of FEA as required to improve or verify the performance of products using Ansys or Abaqus.


• Preparation of FEA reports


• Provide competent input to risk assessments related to equipment


• Pro actively keep abreast of relevant design codes used by the dept - ASME, API, DNV, ISO etc.

Experience Required:-

• Experience with FMC equipment or similar competitor equipment preferred.


• Substantial experience with FEA specifically towards 3D non linear models WCS (Well Completion Systems)
• Applications' product knowledge


• Good understanding of technical drawings


• Experience of 3D modelling and good CAD skills


• Proficient in all methods of communication (Verbal, written & presentation)


• Ability to operate successfully in multi-cultural environment

Qualifications:

Honours Degree in appropriate discipline. (May be accepted at the discretion of Engineering Management)
